Prior to this role, Brittany worked at Cornish College of the Arts for nearly ten years, serving as the Dean of Student Affairs for 8 of those years. They are passionate about nurturing local talent, fostering collaborative creative spaces, and ensuring that theatre is a place where people feel seen, welcomed, and connected. Brittany steps into this role following the unexpected passing of TMP's former managing artistic director, Jon Douglas Rake, whose vision, leadership, and deep love for this community helped shape the Playhouse. They are committed to honoring that legacy by supporting TMP's staff, artists, volunteers, and patrons with care, continuity, and intention during this time of transition.Brittany has been involved in theatre both onstage and behind the scenes for over 30 years, with experience spanning performance, direction, stage management, intimacy consulting, education, and arts leadership. Brittany holds a BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Puget Sound, as well as an MA and PhD in the field of higher education administration/leadership.
