9 TO 5: The Musical!
Based upon the hit 20th Century Fox movie
Pushed to the boiling point by their boss, three female co-workers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. They conspire to take control of their company and learn there's nothing they can't do -- even in a man's world.
Set in the late 1970s, 9 TO 5: The Musical is a hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era. Outrageous, thought-provoking, and even a little romantic, 9 TO 5: The Musical is about teaming up and taking care of business.
Not recommended for children under age 13.

TMP announces Capital Campaign and Major Theater Renovation!
TMP is excited to announce that in the very near future the theater will undergo a major renovation in the auditorium area of the facility to include a larger stage area, acoustic treatments and an orchestra pit.

TMP's exciting 2012-13 Mainstage Season!

Tacoma Musical Playhouse is thrilled to announce our 19th season of award-winning musical theater in Tacoma! Our exciting 2012-2013 season is packed full of variety to appeal to theatergoers from all backgrounds, with all interests. The season will include six Broadway-style musicals on the TMP Mainstage and three equally exciting family-friendly productions from the Tacoma Children’s Musical Theater.
Season Subscriptions and single show tickets for all performances are available for purchase at this time.
Please Note: Due to overwhelming response from our annual patron survey, TMP is compelled to make a small change to our Mainstage programming for the 2012-13 season. We are pleased to announce that Ragtime, The Musical will be revived on the TMP Mainstage as the 2013 Summer Blockbuster production! In a beautiful story with a gloriously diverse score, Ragtime intertwines the lives of three distinct families of the early 20th Century and poignantly illustrates history’s timeless contradictions of wealth and poverty, freedom and prejudice, hope and despair, and love and hate. As clearly indicated in the tally of the survey results, Ragtime is surely an all-time TMP favorite!
For current ticket-holders, Ragtime will replace the previously programmed SHOUT! - which we hope to bring to TMP audiences in the near future. Rest assured that there are no changes to your current show date and seats that you have already booked for July/August 2013. Your season tickets for SHOUT! will be redeemable for your same seats and performance date of Ragtime. We’d prefer it if you just keep your current ticket(s), cross out the word “SHOUT” and replace with “RAGTIME” for your own reference, and bring these tickets with you to the theater as usual. For Flex Pass holders, simply replace all references to “SHOUT with “RAGTIME.”
