TMP is turning Sweet Sixteen and you are invited to an incredible season of musical productions! Nowhere else will you get such great shows at such affordable prices.
Our sensational 2009-2010 season brings five shows to the TMP mainstage including regional premieres, new revivals of old favorites, and plenty of fabulous music! A Season Subscription includes: Curtains, Guys and Dolls, The Wedding Singer, Flower Drum Song and All Shook Up, a new musical loaded with music made famous by Elvis Presley.
Our Bonus Show this year is not for everybody, but is an important production that represents a new Broadway musical style. TMP will be one of the first theaters in the region to produce RENT. Season Subscribers can add RENT to their 5-show package at the same discounted subscription rate. Just be sure to select the 6-Show Package option when purchasing your season tickets or Flex Pass.
Our fourth season of The Tacoma Children’s Musical Theater promises to be bigger and better than ever before. These fully-stage musicals based on classic children’s literature are a great reason to make a “family date” and enjoy a trip to the theater. The TCMT season will open in November with the extraordinarily popular, Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business! In the spring we will present two shows, the endearing classic Anne of Green Gables in May, followed by an extra-special presentation of the musical tale Peter & the Wolf in June. All of these productions will offer mid-week student group matinee performances this season. Book your school groups early because these performances do sell out!
We have two exciting theater tour opportunities planned for this season. In the Fall, we will travel to London, England. This trip sold out very quickly and now we are considering the option of planning an encore tour later in the season. Watch for more info on this. Due to the amount of fun we had in 2008, we are planning our annual trip to New York City in June 2010. June is a perfect time to enjoy all that Broadway has to offer including the opportunity to attend the Tony Awards! These popular trips sell out quickly and are offered first to our Season Subscribers and then, if space allows, the general public.
